The preparation for 6th Poser Game in 2005 started on a return trip from Tampa Am, when Gab Ekoe and Dave Bouthillier were forced to stay an extra day on the road in Baltimore. With nothing to do, they nabbed some flavored Vodka and got dizzy. Causing pure ruckus, they literally stumbled into a keg in some alley, and just like that, another keg was found for the game.
The Game itself was a blast, however there were more difficulties than in previous years. Some hockey players showed up, and they didn’t want to share the rink. We offered them free beer, and they proceeded to call the police.
After a heated discussion with the authorities, we finished the game. It’s unfortunate that in Montréal you're not allowed to skateboard anywhere except in skate parks.
Big James did a fine job at hosting the event throughout the turmoil with assistance from judges Yanick and Elisha. Steve Cantin became the first skater to bring home the trophy twice (the first time in 2003, and again in 2005).
